PREPARE YOUR APPLICATION
Before applying to University of Gloucester, familiarize yourself with study permit requirements for applicants from your country. Note that your UOG application and study permit application are separate. It’s your responsibility to meet study permit prerequisites. If you already possess a valid study permit, inform your advisor to ensure seamless next steps, potentially allowing you to join the upcoming start date. RECEIVE ACCEPTANCE PACKAGE
Upon approval for a program, we will prepare and issue an Acceptance Package containing the Letter of Acceptance and other requisite documents for your study permit application. Be aware that an Acceptance Package is only issued if your application meets requirements outlined in Step 3.
CONFIRM ELIGIBILITY
For University of Gloucester admission, all students must be at least 18 years old and hold a West England Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or higher. International students must provide translated secondary education transcripts, translated into English if necessary.
Academic Transcripts and Documents
Depending on your origin, a Credential Assessment Report may be mandatory. These assessments allow admission staff to gauge education completed outside West England against local credentials. ICAS and WES are two organizations that provide such assessments.

English Language Proficiency
For non-English speakers, proof of language proficiency is required. University of Gloucester accepts the following language proficiency tests and scores for all programs:
- TOEFL – internet-based test (iBT): minimum 80
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 overall and no band below 5.5
- TOEIC – 800

Submit all required documents outlined in Step 3 either online or to your advisor. Our international department will respond within 24 to 48 hours with an application decision.
APPLY FOR STUDY PERMIT & STAY CONNECTED
With an Acceptance Package in hand, you have the necessary documents to apply for your study permit from IRCC. Keep your advisor informed of your progress and any changes in your application status. Upon hearing from IRCC, notify UOG of your final decision to facilitate subsequent steps.

Once your study permit is approved, plan your journey to West England and University of Gloucester. We’ll confirm your start date and Orientation schedule, assisting with accommodations, airport pick-up, health insurance, and more as needed.

HEALTH INSURANCE
International students must acquire private medical insurance as they aren’t covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. Suggested options are Guard. Me and Ingle Insurance.
